Application:

Application and removal should only be performed by trained professionals in accordance with the 3M Wrap Film Series 2080 application guidelines. It is particularly important to maintain a clean environment during application and to avoid dirt, dust and fibers. Films with a glossy or high-gloss surface are equipped with a protective film that protects against scratches during application. This protective film must be removed before post-heating. For complex shapes and recesses, we recommend using 3M™ Primer 94.

After application, avoid automatic car washes and excessive moisture or heat for three days to allow the film to bond properly.

Usage:

3M™ Wrap Film Series 2080 is a high-quality, multi-layer vinyl film with a self-adhesive backing, designed for full or partial vehicle decoration. It is designed to be more flexible than previous generation films, allowing for easier application with less heat.

The films are supplied with a protective layer (for glossy versions) that reduces the risk of indentations and scratches during installation. It must be removed before heat treatment or lamination of the surface. The films are not intended for printing; if this is done, the user is responsible for suitability and warranty.

Proper storage and handling procedures, as well as the work of trained professionals, are essential factors in ensuring long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing results. The 3M warranty provides protection for up to 8 years on vertical surfaces.
